Ayahuasca Shaman Ecuador

Ayahuasca ceremony

Share the wonders of an Ayahuasca Ceremony with experienced Kichwa shamans of Magia Verde Lodge.

Magia Verde is not an “Ayahuasca Mill” like so many other retreats. We do not charge thousands of dollars for week-long programs designed to make a profit. We believe that Ayahuasca should be available to those on any budget. We charge $50.00 for a ceremony with local and trusted Kichwa shamans. Prices may vary according to group size.  Contact Scott for details.

We like to talk to whoever is interested, so we can customize programs individually for our guests who are welcome to stay for as long as they want, and experience as many ceremonies as they wish. We want this beautiful experience to be available to all. We are in it for love, not money.

Ayahuasca is a special, visionary and potentially life-changing medicine. It should be taken seriously. It is not something we do recreationally, and it is not for everyone. You can read about the preparation, chemistry, effects and the experiences this sacred medicine offers online, and we recommend that you do study up. Here you will read about what you NEED to know before considering partaking in an Ayahuasca Ceremony here or anywhere:

First of all, you need to do a few things, most importantly, you need to form an intention and to follow a diet (dieta) for several days before and after drinking Ayahuasca.

Intention:

We drink Ayahuasca for a reason.  It is NOT recreational.  You need to think about why you are drinking Ayahuasca.  Imagine phoning a friend, but you have nothing really to say.  Your friend answers the phone and says hello.  You say hello … and an awkward silence follows.  Ayahuasca is similar.  You are drinking it for a reason. Think about what that reason is.  What do you want to chat with her about?  What are you hoping to learn?

Dieta:

This is not something to take lightly. A person can get very ill, or experience a wide array of unpleasant experiences, physically, energetically and spiritually if they disrespect the plants, or disregard these guidelines.

If you can not follow the Ayahuasca diet outlined on this page, then it is likely that Ayahuasca not for you. However, if you can, then you can prepare yourself for some of the deepest healings, teachings, realizations and transformation that no words can ever fully describe.

The Ayahuasca that is served during our ceremonies is a very concentrated sacred plant brew, and in order for these plants to work within you to their greatest capacity, it is important that you prepare yourself to receive them.

2 weeks before drinking Ayahuasca:

– Avoid recreational drugs including marijuana and Alcohol.

48 hours before drinking Ayahuasca, avoid:

– Fried foods or excessive oil
– Spicy foods
– Fermented food
– Caffeine
– Non-fresh (canned or packaged) meat or fish products
– Liquid and Powdered protein extracts
– Brewers yeast or yeast-based supplements
– Dairy products
– Overripe fruits
– Processed sweets and refined sugar
– Excessive amounts of table salt
– Pork and red meat

This time is also an excellent opportunity for you to cut anything else out of your life which you may feel is not in line with your highest truth and potential. Remember, you are coming to Ayahuasca with an intention.  Ayahuasca is sensitive to the amount of importance that you place on your own healing, and she rewards hard work!

After Drinking Ayahuasca:

For your wellbeing and the integration of your healing, we suggest that you continue to keep your body and habits as clean as possible. The healing process with these medicines does not stop after their effects are no longer noticeable in your consciousness! The spirit of the plants will be with you for a long time after your retreat, and you can greatly help the process of your healing and transformation by adhering to the following schedule:

For 10 Days, avoid:

– fried foods
– processed sugars
– frozen or icy cold foods/drinks

For 2 Weeks, avoid:

– fermented foods
– red meat
– coffee
– dairy
– citrus
– raw nuts

For 1 Month, avoid:

– alcohol
– pork
– Chilli

We also recommend that you avoid sexual contact for one week before, and one week after your ceremony

This abstinence is important because it really helps give you space to be able to work with yourself. So as not to bring your focus externally, but really to hold the space for you to concentrate on your inner journey, the healing journey which led you to this sacred medicine.
